  • Thomas Elzinga

    Thomas Elzinga is an Investment Associate at the Global Emerging Markets (GEM) Group in New York City. Prior to taking on his role at GEM, Mr. Elzinga was a consultant for the Boston Consulting Group (BCG). He began his career at Ernst & Young (EY).

    Mr. Elzinga earned a BS/BA in Economics and Strategy from the Olin School of Business at Washington University in St. Louis. He is from Chicago, IL.

  • George Gunning

    George Gunning has spent close to two decades in politics and the nonprofit world. He currently serves as the executive director and board member of The Neumann Forum in Philadelphia, a Catholic nonprofit to preserving the patrimony of the Church and clearly defending the Catholic Faith in a secular world. Prior to his work with The Neumann Forum, he served as the Executive Vice President of The National Catholic Bioethics Center, Director of Community Relations for The Catholic Foundation of Greater Philadelphia, and as the Director of Major Gifts for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. George attended Temple University in Philadelphia where he studied History and Political Science.

    He is active in many different Catholic organizations including the Philo Club, the Sovereign Order of Malta, and the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George. He currently serves as Chancellor of the Eastern Lieutenancy of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem.

    Mr. Gunning currently resides in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with his wife, Marialena, and their daughter, Rosa.

  • Daniel Keegan

    Dan Keegan is the Founder of 18 Somerset Capital Management, LLC. He is a technology innovator and trading executive who believes in the fundamental transformation of trade execution and market structure.

    Mr. Keegan is the Former Chairman, CEO and President of Citigroup Global Markets Inc. and Head of North American Markets and Securities Services. Previously, he was the Co-Head of Global Equities at Citigroup and a member of Citi’s Pension Investment Committee. Prior to that Mr. Keegan served for three years as head of equities Americas at Citi. He joined City as part of the bank’s purchase of Automatic Trading Desk where he served as head of Electronic Trading. Prior to that he held numerous management positions at JPMorgan. He also held Board Member positions with Level, BIDS and the Better Alternative Trading System (BATS).

    Born in New Jersey, Mr. Keegan attended the University of Notre Dame, receiving a B.A. and later, a J.D. at Notre Dame Law School. A third-generation Irish American, he lives in New York with his wife, Elizabeth, and four children, Danny, Rosemary, Margaret, and Katherine.

  • Devon Wall

    Devon Wall is a Private Equity Associate at the Global Emerging Markets (GEM) Group in New York City. He also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Willard Marine, Inc. Previously, Devon worked at both Fidelity Investments and Sound Point Capital. In his current role, Devon focuses on structuring and analyzing private investment opportunities from across the globe, leveraging his experience in mergers and acquisitions, buyouts, and alternative credit lending.

    Outside of work, Mr. Wall volunteers with and supports the mission of the Solstice Foundation, a charitable organization that exists as the largest young adult volunteer organization in New York City with partner organizations such as The Bowery Mission, City Harvest, and Covenant House.

    He is a proud alumnus of the Canterbury School in New Milford, CT, and of Bard College, where he earned a BA in Economics with a concentration in Finance. Mr. Wall is also a graduate of the Business Bridge program at the Dartmouth Tuck School of Business.

  • Mark Ackermann

    Mark Ackermann is President, The Catholic Herald Institute (U.S. and U.K.) He has more than forty years of management experience and recently served as the Executive Director of the New York State Eucharistic Congress for the Ordinaries of the eight Dioceses of New York State.

    He served for 25 years in various senior management positions at Saint Vincent’s Hospital and Medical Center Healthcare System which included six hospitals and four nursing homes. Mr. Ackermann was then responsible for all aspects of the Pastoral Visit to The Archdiocese of New York by His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI. He also assisted in the planning and execution of Pope Francis’s visit to New York and coordinated the Time/Fortune Global Forum at the Vatican. He then served as the President and CEO of Lighthouse International and Executive Vice President of Lighthouse Guild International.

    Mr. Ackermann holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the Catholic University of America and a Master of Science Degree in Not-for-Profit Management from New York University. He currently serves as Chair of the Board of Directors of the United States Association of Blind Athletes (A member organization of the Team USA Paralympic Organization). He also serves as a board member of the Reader’s Digest Partners for Sight Foundation. Additionally, he has been on the Board of Directors of the Foundation for Justice and Peace in the Vatican and is a special advisor to the Path to Peace Foundation at the Holy See Mission to the United Nations. He and wife, June, live in Freehold, NJ. They have six children and nine grandchildren.
