On March 18, 2024, the Catholic Herald Institute presented its Inaugural symposium entitled, “THE ROOM WHERE IT HAPPENED, Unwrapping the Synod and Exploring What is Next”.

The event was held at the Archbishop Fulton Sheen Center for Thought and Culture in lower Manhattan.  The symposium, the first in the Institute’s “Conversations in the Spirit”, was moderated by Michael La Civita, Director of Communications for the Catholic Near East Welfare Association (CNEWA) and Lieutenant of the Eastern Lieutenancy of the Equestrian Order of Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem.  Speakers included Argentine journalist and member of the Synod’s Communications Team, Inés San Martin, Fr. Ricardo da Silva, SJ, and the Institute’s chair, Amanda Bowman.

Upcoming Events will include further installments in the “Conversations in the Spirit” Series, including symposia, conversations, and interviews on topics of compelling interest to Catholics in all walks of life.
